Linear pendant in a vaulted kitchen
Hung from the ridge while the island was still sheeted and the joinery was going in — first fix cabling planned for the fitting before the plasterboard went up.
Soffit and garden lighting, live at dusk
Armoured cable out to the garden circuits and IP-rated soffit fittings aimed down the facade, all switched from inside the house.
Under-cabinet LED that you can't see
Strip tucked behind the shadow gap under the wall units, on a dimmable driver matched to the tape so nothing flickers at the bottom of the dial.
Chandelier over a stairwell void
Fixed to a proper load-bearing point rather than a ceiling rose, drop height set from the floor below, and switched from both landings.
